Project Summary

The goal behind this effort is to improve existing on-field facilities that are currently inadequate. The cold bathrooms, deficient field locker rooms, lack of coaches/players meeting spaces, makeshift concession area, etc. are among the issues we are trying to improve. We are proposing to construct a new facility that will feature the following: a team media room, concession stand, storage area, ticket booth and a new handicap accessible restroom.

The original building will undergo significant renovation, including major restroom upgrades and improvements to both the home and visiting teams. Additional improvements and needs of the football program will also be considered. There is such a need for these for improvements and we expect to be under construction with Phase 1 on June 12, 2005. Lovely Field is a multi-sport facility and the new infrastructure will benefit the football, lacrosse, soccer and track programs.

We have met with various school and town personnel, including the School Superintendent, High School Principal, Athletic Directors, Town Facilities Director Joe Piantedosi and his staff. We have had initial meetings with neighborhood representatives and look forward to future gatherings as plans progress.
